Auckland Airport provides cash, credit card and eftpos payment options to make paying for your parking quick and easy.

Paywave payments

Credit card in and out Paywave makes paying for parking simple. Tap or enter your credit card at the entry barrier when entering the car park of your choice, then tap or enter your credit card again when you exit - easy! Paywave is available at the entry/exit lanes of all Auckland Airport car parks.

Please be aware that non-chipped Diners Club and American Express cards are unable to be to used to enter and exit, please see below for more information.

Most credit and debit card providers have already met these requirements and provide debit / credit cards with the “chip” on the front which work in New Zealand. However, some older American Express cards and Diners Club cards still only provide magnetic stripe cards or non-supported “chip” cards which we are no longer able to use in our parking / payment equipment for these card security reasons. So for now, although you can pay online using your non-chip Diners Club or American Express card, you’ll need to use a card with a chip to enter and exit the car park.

Information for American Express customers:

There are still some older American Express cards in circulation with just magnetic stripes. These cards can still be used when booking and paying for your parking online. However another credit or debit card i.e. newer American Express (with chip), Visa or Mastercard must be used as your “Nominated access card” to be used when entering and exiting the car park you have chosen.

Information for Diners Club customers:

Diners Club cards can still be used when booking and paying for your parking. However unless you have a Diners MasterCard, another credit or debit card i.e. Visa or Mastercard or newer American Express (with chip) must be used as your “Nominated access card” to be used when entering and exiting the car park you have chosen.

Autopay Machines (APMs)

Located alongside pedestrian access ways at the domestic terminal and in the outer forecourt area at the international terminal.

All Autopay machines take credit card payments and others will accept cash and eftpos payments.

All APMs now have a quicker contactless payment option for Debit Cards, MasterCard and Visa payments.

Parking booths

Conveniently located at the exit of the international uncovered car park D.

Our parking booth attendants accept Eftpos (NZ only) and credit card.
